CCIFP CERTIFICATION
WHAT DOES CCIFP CERTIFIED MEAN?
M. Scott Hursh, CPA, CCIFP, and Managing Partner of SNPC’s Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Group, and Timothy C. Klimchock, CPA, CCIFP, have both demonstrated their knowledge in nine content areas to become two of only five Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (CCIFP) in South Central Pennsylvania and 49 in the state.
The certification means Scott's and Tim's AEC industry clients are assured of the highest quality service possible by professionals who have met the high standards of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the "Source & Resource for Construction Financial Professionals."
Those nine areas are:
- Accounting and Reporting
- Income Recognition
- Budgeting and Planning
- Risk Management
- Taxes
- Human Resources
- Legal
- Information Technology
- Joint Ventures
The purpose of the certification is to:
- Establish the scope of practice for construction financial professionals
- Assess the level of knowledge demonstrated by construction financial professionals in a valid and reliable manner
- Encourage professional growth in the field of construction financial management
- Formally recognize individuals who meet the requirements set by ICCFP
- Serve the public and employers by encouraging quality construction financial management practices
CFMA is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the construction financial professional.
